Swimming Lessons
by admin on Jul.17, 2008, under The Blog
This summer we’ve had Celeste in swimming lessons. She started in Sea Turtle and graduated to Salamander. Hopefully she’ll learn to float so she can graduate to the next level. Either way, she is having fun!
Baby Dara
by admin on Jul.17, 2008, under The Blog
On May 15th, just one day before daddy’s birthday, our neighbours Marlene and Luke had a third addition to the family…..little baby Dara. We took Celeste and Nonna out to the hospital to meet her.
Long Distance Loves

On occasion Celeste decides that she wants to talk to someone from Windsor. Here she is chatting away on our cordless phone. It’s a good thing we have a really good long distance plan

Celeste from the hood?!
by admin on Jul.17, 2008, under The Blog

This isn’t the best shot, but it does show Celeste’s fashion sense. For some reason she’s started wearing this baby hat in the middle of summer. She looks like “Celeste from the hood” in it

Riverside Park
by admin on Jun.25, 2008, under The Blog
While I got some housework done this past weekend, daddy distracted Celeste by taking her to Riverside Park for some “fun in the sun”.
Riverside Park is in downtown Kamloops and this body of water is actually the Thompson River. The city left the river banks in somewhat of a natural state so that everyone can enjoy the sand and water…
…and Celeste sure was enjoying herself!

There’s also a water park. I still remember when we came out for a weekend visit when Celeste was about 1 1/2. We weren’t expecting to go to a water park and we weren’t prepared. Celeste was excited and she ran through the water park and then plopped herself down in the middle of a water puddle and giggled. Her diaper was soaked!
Father’s Day at Peterson Creek Park
by admin on Jun.15, 2008, under The Blog

Well, Father’s Day weekend didn’t start off so great since mommy accidentally washed daddy’s cell phone in the washing machine. Unfortunately cell phones don’t work better after they’ve been taken through the “heavy duty” cycle on a front loader. So with a drenched cell phone in hand, daddy and Celeste headed off to the Telus booth in the Aberdeen Mall for an unplanned Father’s Day gift. Daddy was not too impressed with mommy!
Things got better though when we went for lunch to daddy’s favourite restaurant, Montana’s, and then when we made a pleasant discovering of a park we hadn’t been to before. Just under the Trans Canada Highway that runs through Kamloops is a hidden gem called Peterson Creek Park. The park is a bit of the wild outdoors in the middle of the city. It has trails, a creek, a water fall, and wild flowers everywhere.
A Moment with Miss Egypt
by admin on Jun.15, 2008, under The Blog

Well, we have some sad news to share. Some of you may or may not be aware but in April we had to put Miss Egypt to sleep. She was very sick and even though we hated to do it we knew it was time to let her go. We were fortunate to have her company and affection for 18 years.
Celeste wasn’t really sure what was going on. She only knows that Egypt is “sleeping and is small and so cute”. Her words exactly. I thought I’d share a couple of Egypts last pictures playing “princess dress up” with Celeste. Poor Egypt… she was always the trooper.
